Jeanne, Andrew and all the staff extend a warm welcome to the Red Lion at Litton. Nestled on the green in this picturesque village, The Red Lion is one of a very few unspoilt traditional Peak District pubs. This historic inn combines character and quality in a way that is rare in modern pubs.
The Red Lion first became a pub in 1787 when it was converted from three miner’s cottages. Thick exposed stone walls & wood paneling in a number of small, cozy rooms with blazing fires, create a comfortable & inviting atmosphere.
We have two superb bedrooms over the pub if you wish to stay and serve food seven days a week. Our lovely Church View Cottage is just across the pretty village green and available for week bookings from Saturdays.
